NMMC offers scholarship for education of EWS kids LD February 29, 2024
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s(NMMC) social service wing has invited applications from people belonging to economically challenged strata to assist them with annual scholarship for educational needs. from class one to post graduation including technical-professional education.
The scholarship Has been classified for different classes and for beneficiaries of six different categories.
The application forms are made available at all eight ward offices and at NMMC social service office at Belapur and must be submitted at all ward offices, civic-run libraries, social services department and civic headquarters before the due date.
Income certificate containing annual income of not more than Rs eight lakh has been made mandatory for the applicants to be submitted along with other documents like Aadhar card, voter Id card, etc.
The scholarship scheme offers Rs 4,000 each per annum for students from classes one to four, Rs 6, 000 for classes five to seven, Rs 8, 000 for classes eight to 10, Rs 9,600 for classes 11 and 12, Rs 12, 000 for degree, Rs 16, 000 for post-graduation and Rs 8,000 for technical and professional courses.
The beneficiaries will include children of single mothers and divorcees, economically challenged families, project affected persons, homeless, NMMC conservancy workers, quarry workers and daily wages labourers living in NMMC jurisdiction.
The eligibility criterion for receiving the scholarship is that the applicants must have been residents of the city for the last three years at least. One has to submit the mark sheet, recommendation letter from the school, income certificate, and residential proof.
