The applicant should be currently enrolled in an academic program pursuing a degree in one of the following fields within the Natural and Basic Sciences at the B.Sc., B.S., and Int. M.Sc./M.S. levels:

  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Statistics
  • Geology
  • Astrophysics
  • Astronomy
  • Electronics
  • Botany
  • Biochemistry
  • Zoology
  • Anthropology
  • Microbiology
  • Geophysics
  • Geochemistry
  • Atmospheric Sciences
  • Oceanic Sciences

Academic Performance: The applicant must either:a. Have achieved a top 1% ranking in their Class 12 examination.b. Hold a rank within the top 10,000 in competitive exams such as JEE of IIT, AIPMT, or NEET.

 Recognized Achievements: Alternatively, the applicant can qualify if they are:

  • A National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) scholar.
  • A Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) scholar.
  • A medalist in an International Olympiad.
