The scholarship aims to encourage children from classes VI to IX to collect and learn more about postage stamps as a hobby (philately). The Department of Posts has introduced the Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana scholarship to encourage the art of stamp collection among young students and award them INR 6,000 per annum.
Every postal circle in India will offer up to 40 scholarships to 10 selected students
