Herrenknecht AG to Supply Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train’s Tunnel Boring Machines
Per a couple of my tunneling industry connections, Herrenknecht AG has been finalized by Afcons Infrastructure to supply at least 2 tunnel boring machines (TBMs) for 20.377 km underground Package C-2
Afcons was awarded C-2’s Rs. 6397.27 crore contract in June by India’s National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL) with a 1888 day (5.17 years) deadline. The scope of C-2 connects chainage Km 0.773 (Bandra Kurla Complex Station) to Km 21.150 (Shilphata Ramp).
